South Africa proposes rules requiring reporting of cross-border crypto transactions
South African lawmakers have proposed a draft rulebook to regulate cross-border cryptocurrency transactions. Under the proposals, sending crypto abroad would have to be conducted through an authorized provider and reported to the central bank's financial surveillance unit, FinSurv. The move aims to bring crypto transfers under formal oversight.
