Ethiopians flee to Sudan after fresh fighting erupts in Tigray

Tigray has seen its biggest escalation since the 2022 Pretoria peace agreement, with both the TPLF and the Ethiopian government blaming each other. A mass exodus toward neighbouring Sudan is underway as civilians fear a full regional conflict. Fighting has paused since August 1st, but fears of a renewed war remain high.
