Trade unionists call Sunday trading ban a fiction, demand 2.5× pay for Sunday work

The trade union Związkowa Alternatywa is demanding the complete abolition of Poland's Sunday trading ban, in force since 2018. The organisation argues the rules fail to protect workers and instead encourage circumvention of the law. In place of the ban, it proposes 2.5 times standard pay for Sunday work plus an extra day off.
