Świątek returns to action at WTA 1000 Toronto after break

Iga Świątek returns to competitive tennis on Tuesday at the WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto, her first event after a break from the sport. At the pre-tournament press conference she said the time off was a good opportunity to live a life beyond tennis. Her last appearance in Toronto was in 2022.
