Petkovic sacked as Algeria coach after poor results despite contract until 2028

Vladimir Petkovic has left his position as head coach of the Algeria national football team. The Algerian Football Federation announced the parting was "by mutual agreement" following a run of poor results. Petkovic had been contracted until 2028.
