25 US states sue Trump administration over sweeping new tariffs

A coalition of 25 US states filed a lawsuit arguing President Trump exceeded his legal authority by imposing sweeping tariffs on dozens of trading partners under the guise of combating forced labour. The states are asking a federal court to block the measures and order refunds for importers. It represents one of the largest coordinated state challenges to Trump's trade policy.
