Three lions die of suspected heatstroke at Tokyo zoo amid Japan's brutal heat

Three lions at a Tokyo zoo have died from suspected heatstroke, with others undergoing treatment, as Japan's extreme summer heat takes a toll on the big cats. The zoo houses 16 lions, most of which have struggled with Japan's high humidity. Japan recorded its hottest summer ever last year, and temperatures have recently topped 40°C in parts of the country.
