Romania blasts underwater rock on Danube — water levels stabilise near nuclear plant
The Romanian military detonated the underwater Parajoia rock on the Danube, which had been blocking water flow and threatening operations at the Cernavoda nuclear power plant. After the explosion, water levels in the area began to stabilise. Romanian media described the operation as a success after 30 years of efforts to address the obstruction.
