Polish furniture industry shrinks for fourth year running amid Chinese competition and timber shortage
Poland's wood and furniture industry recorded its fourth consecutive year of declining output after a record-setting 2022, according to a Polish Development Fund report titled "Compendium Polish Furniture – July 2026". The downturn is driven by a timber shortage and rising imports from China. Despite the difficulties, Poland's share of global furniture exports exceeded 6% for the first time in 2025.
