K9A1-based armoured recovery vehicle reaches demonstrator stage with German help
An armoured recovery vehicle based on the K9A1 self-propelled howitzer has reached at least the technology demonstrator stage. German firm Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft (FFG) is assisting in its development. The vehicle expands the South Korean K9 family of military platforms.
