FAA certifies Boeing 737 MAX 7 more than eight years after maiden flight

The US Federal Aviation Administration has certified Boeing's 737 MAX 7, its smallest MAX variant, more than eight years after its maiden flight. The lengthy certification process was prolonged by safety reforms introduced following two fatal crashes involving the MAX family. The approval now clears the way for deliveries to customers.
