NHS radiographers report surge in racist abuse from patients

A survey of 381 members of the Society of Radiographers revealed a notable rise in overt racist abuse against NHS staff over the past 18 months. Patients called Black and Asian radiographers "monkeys" and "dirty foreigners," and refused to be treated by them. The findings point to a wider pattern of racism across the health service.
