Larry Berg elected as next MLS commissioner, succeeding Don Garber

The Major League Soccer board of governors has voted to install Larry Berg, co-managing owner of LAFC, as the league's next commissioner. Berg, a senior partner at private equity firm 26North, will become only the third commissioner in MLS history. He will take over from Don Garber once Garber officially steps down.
