Minneapolis producer David Z, known for work with Prince, dead at 78

David Z, born David Rivkin, a Minneapolis musician and producer best known for his work with Prince, died at a hospital in Burbank, California on Sunday. His younger brother Bobby Z, formerly the drummer for Prince's band the Revolution, confirmed he died of complications from an infection. He was 78.
