Rubin Observatory captures over 650,000 galaxies in a single image

The Rubin Observatory, equipped with the world's largest digital camera, captured an image of the COSMOS field revealing more than 650,000 galaxies in a single frame. The facility recently began its 10-year survey of the southern sky, and this image is among its first major results.
