Austrian writer Monika Helfer dies at 78 after a fall
Austrian author Monika Helfer, winner of the 2024 Angelus literary prize, has died at the age of 78 from injuries sustained in a fall. She was born on 18 October 1947 in Au in the Bregenz district and grew up in a veterans' home near Bludenz, where her father served as administrator.
