Von der Leyen calls for stronger EU borders and more returns after Ceuta crisis

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has called for action to strengthen EU borders and increase returns of migrants following the crisis in Spain's Ceuta, where tens of thousands of people arrived and quickly left the territory. In a letter to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, she identified five areas for action, including tighter monitoring and physical barriers at critical border points.
