Pigeon fanciers help scientists predict and treat lung disease

Researchers have tested hundreds of pigeon fanciers to better understand lung diseases triggered by bird dust and allergens. The goal is to develop ways of predicting who is most at risk. Findings are expected to improve treatment across a broader family of respiratory conditions.
