EU Commission calls Ceuta border a 'shared European responsibility'

The European Commission has offered Morocco increased support at the borders of the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla, calling for "united action" from EU member states on border security. EU interior ministers are set to discuss the issue at a meeting on Tuesday. The Commission emphasised that protecting the EU's external borders is a shared European responsibility.
