Nitroerg to invest 300 million PLN in penthrite and RDX production in Katowice SEZ
Nitroerg, majority-owned by KGHM, has signed an agreement with the Katowice Special Economic Zone to build a plant producing high-energy explosives — penthrite (PETN) and RDX (hexogen). The investment of approximately 300 million PLN is intended to strengthen Poland's defence industry and secure supplies of materials also used in the civilian sector. It is a strategic move in the context of growing demand for domestic explosives production capacity.
