UC Berkeley's new microscope: 3-micron resolution over 5 cm² at 120 fps

Researchers at UC Berkeley have developed a next-generation microscope that simultaneously achieves a wide field of view (5 cm²), high resolution (3 micrometres) and an imaging speed of 120 frames per second — a combination previously unattainable in a single device. The breakthrough could enable scientific discoveries beyond the reach of earlier imaging methods.
