Pentagon accelerates Patriot and THAAD interceptor production as stockpiles strain
The Pentagon has signed multi-billion-dollar contracts with Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman to accelerate production of Patriot and THAAD interceptor missiles. The move comes amid stockpile strains caused in part by deliveries to Ukraine and Israel. The aim is to rapidly rebuild US and allied missile arsenals.
