Kenya, Uganda and South Africa to manufacture next-gen HIV prevention medicines locally

Kenya, Uganda and South Africa are to receive support to locally manufacture next-generation HIV prevention medicines. The initiative aims to expand the role of in-country producers in meeting the continent's medical needs. It forms part of broader efforts to reduce Africa's dependence on foreign pharmaceutical suppliers.
