Jockey Club quits Racecourse Association, triggering British racing crisis

The Jockey Club, which owns 15 British racecourses including Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom and Newmarket, announced it will resign from the Racecourse Association (RCA) at the end of the year. The move comes two days after the RCA published a governance review intended to prevent further defections following Ascot's departure in May. The development has triggered a constitutional crisis for the British Horseracing Authority.
