France tightens scrutiny of foreign investments in sensitive sectors

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced that the government will require approval for non-European investors acquiring more than 10% of shares in French companies operating in sensitive sectors and listed outside the EU. The rule covers defence, critical infrastructure and key technologies. The move follows a parliamentary report calling for a "radical change in posture" on France's economic security.
