ICE collected DNA from nearly 1 million people last year — including young children

Internal documents reveal that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement collected DNA from nearly one million people in a single year, a dramatic surge under the second Trump administration. The dragnet included young children, and hundreds of thousands of those profiled had never been convicted of any crime. Their genetic data has been permanently added to an FBI criminal database.
