Iran: we're only talking to Oman, not the US — about Strait of Hormuz passage

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baghei stated Monday that Iran is holding talks exclusively with Oman — not the United States — regarding a temporary navigation corridor through the Strait of Hormuz. The announcement came a day after Donald Trump claimed negotiations with Tehran had begun. Iran ruled out any meaningful change at the strait while it says US violations continue.
