Zee Entertainment shareholders back $330M capital raise — regulator bans firm next day
Shareholders of Indian media giant Zee Entertainment Enterprises approved a promoter group capital infusion of $330 million and a new employee stock option plan at an extraordinary general meeting. The very next day, India's securities regulator barred the company and two of its top executives from operating in the market. The Mumbai-based firm is one of India's largest media and technology groups.
