Poland appeals Belgian court ruling ordering it to pay Pfizer 5.5 bn zloty for undelivered COVID vaccines

Poland's Ministry of Health has appealed a Belgian court ruling ordering the state to pay Pfizer 5.5 billion zloty (approx. €1.3 billion) for COVID-19 vaccines that were ordered but not collected. The Treasury, represented by the Health Minister, is contesting the ruling's validity. The dispute stems from a contract under which Poland declined to take delivery of the doses.
