Cardinal Dziwisz testifies in court: "I was in the Vatican and don't know this case"

Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz appeared before the District Court in Kraków on Monday as a witness in a lawsuit brought by a victim of sexual abuse by a priest from the Archdiocese of Kraków. During nearly an hour of testimony, he maintained he had no knowledge of the case as he was serving as Pope John Paul II's personal secretary in the Vatican at the time. The case concerns the Church's institutional responsibility for the actions of one of its clergy.
