Heatwave hits Poland — temperatures may reach 40°C on Wednesday

Temperatures exceeded 30°C across much of Poland on Monday, with the heatwave set to intensify through the week. On Wednesday, thermometers in some parts of the country could hit 40°C. Poland's meteorological institute IMGW has issued level-two and level-three heat warnings.
