Hungary to shut its only nuclear plant as Danube hits record low water level
Hungary's prime minister warned the country faces its "most critical five days ahead" after the sole nuclear power plant, Paks, was expected to be shut down due to record-low water levels in the River Danube. The river is too shallow to provide adequate reactor cooling. The situation has triggered a serious energy crisis for the country.
