South Korea launches new counter-intelligence agency focused on AI and North Korea
South Korea's Ministry of National Defence officially launched a new counter-intelligence agency on Monday, tasked with combating terrorism and espionage from North Korea and other states, according to Yonhap. The reform splits the former, politically entangled military intelligence service into three separate institutions. The new agency is set to focus on AI, space and countering infiltration operations.
