Remarkable archaeological finds emerge during Saxon Palace reconstruction in Warsaw
During construction work at the former Brühl Palace on Warsaw's Piłsudski Square in May, archaeologists uncovered a compass rose designed by renowned 20th-century architect Bohdan Pniewski. Ongoing excavations at the Saxon Palace site are yielding artefacts that allow researchers to precisely reconstruct the original layout of the entire complex. Archaeologists work in two phases: winter archival research and summer fieldwork.
