Municipal water infrastructure grants failing due to red tape and funding gaps

Polish municipalities are struggling to secure grants for protecting water supply infrastructure. A lack of co-financing funds, rigid de minimis aid limits and unrealistic cost estimates are blocking investment in critical systems. As a result, local governments prioritise pipe repairs over IT security upgrades.
