Japan launches National Intelligence Council — China expresses concern

Japan's government under Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi launched the National Intelligence Council on Friday, aimed at boosting the country's intelligence capabilities and drafting anti-espionage laws. China expressed concern over the new body, according to the Kyodo news agency.
