Ground-penetrating radar reveals secrets of Neolithic burial mounds in Brittany
Researchers studying the Neolithic cemetery of Coëby in Brittany, France, used non-invasive geophysical methods including ground-penetrating radar to examine two massive burial mounds dating back around 6,000 years. Without any excavation, they uncovered intriguing traces that could shed light on prehistoric funerary practices. The findings offer new insights into Neolithic communities in western Europe.
