Scammers hijack WhatsApp accounts — Deputy Justice Minister Myrcha among victims

Poland's Interior Ministry spokesperson Karolina Gałecka warned of a new wave of WhatsApp account-hijacking scams. Criminals take over accounts and send messages to contacts about fake contests, asking them to vote — a method used to steal personal data. Deputy Justice Minister Arkadiusz Myrcha was among the victims. The ministry urges people not to click on links in such messages.
