New WhatsApp scam uses fake poll link to hijack accounts

Criminals are impersonating contacts on WhatsApp and sending links to a supposed online poll. After clicking, victims are asked to "verify" their account, allowing scammers to pair their own device and take full control. Poland's Interior Ministry spokeswoman Karolina Gałecka and CERT Polska warn users never to click suspicious links or share verification codes.
