Polish scientist creates synthetic cell capable of replication and evolution

A Polish researcher has created a synthetic cell capable of self-replication and evolutionary change, a breakthrough being compared to a Copernican revolution in biology. Scientists can now chemically produce forms of DNA and amino acids not found in nature, raising the possibility of creating life based on entirely different chemistry than known biology.
