Polish met office issues red alerts for southern Poland — heatwave and Tatra storms

Poland's Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has issued red alerts for the southern part of the country, warning of dangerous heat. The Tatra mountain district faces additional alerts for intense rainfall, strong wind gusts and localised hail. Residents and tourists are urged to exercise extreme caution.
