WestJet grounds all flights as flight attendants strike

WestJet, Canada's second-largest airline, grounded its entire fleet after flight attendants walked off the job. The carrier operates an average of 458 daily flights, including two-thirds of departures from Calgary International Airport. Only its regional affiliate WestJet Encore continues to fly, operating 35 Dash 8-Q400 aircraft. All affected travellers are being allowed to rebook without penalty.
