Rheinmetall wins multi-hundred-million euro contract to refit frigate Bayern

German defence giant Rheinmetall has been awarded a contract worth several hundred million euros to modernise the Type 123 frigate Bayern of the German Navy. The deal covers a comprehensive refit and upgrade of the vessel.
