Rupnik case: secrecy around trial has harmed victims, says commentator
Commentator Jakub Sewerynik argues that the secrecy surrounding the Church trial of priest Marko Rupnika and the lack of a coherent communications policy have fuelled online rumour and further harmed the victims who should be under the Church's special care. The opacity of proceedings, rather than protecting victims, has exposed them to additional hurt. Sewerynik calls for greater transparency in how the Church handles such cases.
