Enormous density-wave rings found in Venus's upper atmosphere using archive data

Scientists have identified enormous rings in the upper atmosphere of Venus, visible in polarimetric observations as density waves. The discovery was made using archival data from the 4.2-metre William Herschel Telescope. The findings were published in The Planetary Science Journal.
