HPV HR test replaces traditional smear in Poland from 1 August, funded by NFZ

From 1 August, the HPV HR test has officially replaced the traditional Pap smear as Poland's primary cervical cancer screening method. The new test is more sensitive because it detects the cause of the disease rather than its effects, and is fully covered by the National Health Fund (NFZ). The change is expected to significantly improve cancer prevention outcomes for women.
