Nirmal Purja and nine others killed in avalanche on Broad Peak
Renowned British-Nepalese mountaineer Nirmal Purja, famous for summiting all fourteen eight-thousanders in record time, has died in an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan. None of the ten expedition members survived the avalanche. The news was confirmed by Purja's own company via social media.
