Netflix sued after unencrypted drive with unreleased Nicolas Cage film stolen from its office
Netflix has been sued after admitting that an unencrypted drive containing the unreleased 2026 film "Fortitude," starring Nicolas Cage and backed by $45 million in investment, was stolen from its offices. Production company Op-Fortitude accuses Netflix of waiting a week before notifying them of the theft. Netflix Original Film director Sean Berney confirmed in an email that "someone stole a good amount of drives from our office desks."
