Chevron, Shell and ExxonMobil post record profits on wartime oil prices

Chevron recorded its highest quarterly earnings ever, Shell posted its second-best quarter on record, and ExxonMobil doubled its profits compared with the same period a year earlier. The exceptional results were driven by elevated crude oil prices linked to wartime disruption of global supply.
