Ceuta crisis: 67 dead after mass crossing, EU ministers to hold emergency talks

An estimated 60,000 migrants entered Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta from Morocco within a matter of days, with at least 67 people dying in the attempt. Most migrants had already left the enclave by Saturday, according to officials. Spain announced plans to build a 500-metre sea barrier, while a majority of EU countries signed an open letter calling for emergency talks — EU interior ministers are set to meet next week to coordinate the bloc's response.
